Terms & Conditions

A legal disclaimer

Effective Date: 08.09.2026

1. Services Provided

All physiotherapy will be delivered by a fully qualified and insured physiotherapist, in your own home or a mutually agreed location. An initial assessment will be conducted to determine needs, after which a tailored treatment plan will be discussed and agreed. Ongoing assessment may lead to adjustments in your plan as needed.

2. Initial Assessment and Consent

  • Assessment includes discussing your medical history and current symptoms, a physical examination, and agreeing realistic treatment goals.

  • Verbal consent must be given before any treatment.

  • You may decline any part of the assessment or treatment at any time.

3. Safety and Environment

You are responsible for providing a safe environment for care (e.g. pets managed, adequate space, safety of premises). If unsuitable, treatment may be rescheduled or terminated.

4. Payment Terms

  • Fees are due monthly unless agreed otherwise.

  • Accepted payment methods include cash, card, cheque, or bank transfer.

  • Late cancellations (less than 24 hours' notice) or missed appointments may incur a full session fee at my discretion.

5. Cancellation Policy

  • Please provide at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment will be subject to a charge of 50% of the session fee.

  • This 50% fee may be waived in extenuating circumstances at the sole discretion of the physiotherapist.

  • Failure to provide any notice (i.e., "no-shows") may incur the full session fee.

6. Confidentiality and Data Protection

All personal and health information is confidential and handled in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Records are kept securely for the legally mandated period and shared only as required by law or with your explicit consent.

7. Professional Standards

Treatment is provided according to the standards set by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP). Treatment may be discontinued if deemed not clinically appropriate.

8. Complaints Procedure

If unsatisfied with the service, you have the right to raise complaints directly. If not resolved, concerns can be taken to the HCPC for further review.

9. Limitation of Liability

Liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law. No responsibility is taken for any loss, injury, or damage suffered except as a result of proven negligence during treatment.

10. Changes to Terms

These terms may be updated as required by law or operational need. The latest version will always be available on the business website.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
